THE FIVE TYPES OF TIGERS
The Metal Tiger : 1950, 2010
‘The Unorthodox Tiger’
This aggressive and ambitious Tiger who has a distinctive presence,
one that rarely goes unnoticed. He knows exactly what his goals are,
and will not stop until he achieves it (in a most radical fashion),
even if he steps on some toes along the way. Passionate Metal Tigers
want it yesterday, and things don’t work out the way he wants
them to, he becomes edgy and volatile.
The Water Tiger: 1902, 1962
“The P.R Tiger”
Softened by the water element, this Tiger is one who instinctively understands
the feelings of others, and is a superb communicator, who would do well
in Public relations. She has an adventurous spirit, and is happiest
when exploring new ideas and foreign lands. Less temperamental than
her fellow felines, she is more realistic and an excellent judge of
truth.
The Wood Tiger: 1914, 1974
“The Democratic Tiger”
Here is a popular and charming Tiger, whose pleasing disposition enables
him to work well with others and have hoards of friends. His innovative
mind and talent for evaluating situations in a fair and sensible light
makes him a brilliant politician, with a talent to bring those with
the most disparate views together. No one is indispensable to this Tiger
though, his loyalty is to himself, and once you leave his company (or
are chucked out of his lair in a most diplomatic and almost pleasant
way) don’t expect tearful pleas to return – you’ve
already been replaced.
The Fire Tiger: 1926, 1986
“The Theatrical Tiger”
Add the element of fire to the already vital Tiger, and you have a veritable
fire ball. Everything in his life is expressed in a dramatic, highly
personal and enthusiastic manner, and he bounces from one place to the
next, according to whatever catches his fancy. He believes wholeheartedly
in anything he does, bringing about a unique and electric vivacity to
any project he touches. A cock-eyed optimist, this action-oriented Tiger
is only concerned with the present.
The Earth Tiger: 1938, 1998
“The Responsible Tiger”
Irresponsibility and rashness are bywords of Tiger traits, but the earth
Tiger breaks the mold. Emotions do not rule his actions, as he prefers
to make level-headed decisions in his endeavors, enabling him to apply
himself to areas he knows he can reasonably accomplish. This proud Tiger
follows the solid road early in life, but once he’s reached the
level of success, power and position he desires (social status and reputation
is very important to him), he then allows himself to express what all
Tigers are: revolutionary, unconventional and liberated.
Prospects for the Tiger in different years
Lucky years for Tigers are the years of the Horse and the Dog. Happy events, prosperity and achievements are in the spotlight, and the Tiger will be recognized for his efforts, much to his delight. The years of the Tiger, Rabbit, Snake and Pig, will be somewhat tranquil, with some good news, contentment and progress despite occasional setbacks.
The years of the Ox, Goat, Dragon and Rooster are fairly mixed, where finances can make a recovery, despite some personal problems and misunderstandings. Consolidation and care must be exercised.
Trying times come in the years of the Rat and Monkey. Misfortunes and obstacles are likely, and any major decisions in business or love, should be left for now. These are years where the Tiger must, remain patient and prudent, avoiding any unnecessary risks.
Compatibilities with other signs
Tiger Friends
Because of his volatile nature, Tigers are drawn to the security-loving
and good-natured signs such as the loyal Dog and jovial Pig. Horses
are equally his best friend, sharing an infectious joie de vivre. Charming
Ratty, romantic Rabbit and dashing Rooster will all be invited to the
Tiger’s scandalous tea parties, as the Tiger enjoys the company
of those who can add a little colour to his life.
Tiger Foes
Tigger will be steering clear of anyone who might steal away her spotlight,
like the dominating Dragon or a fellow Tiger. The impish Monkey highly
irritates him as well, as does the suspicious Snake. And the Ox? Well,
he’s just bored to tears by this extremely serious fellow.
